Pokémon X and Y

Discussion in 'Miscellaneous Conjectures' started by Lord X-Giga-X, Jan 8, 2013.

1. So far, at least, it looks like Tyrunt is going on my team. The name convinced me.

2. Want alternate artwork of most of the new Pokemon?

You don't?

Well then too bad! You're getting it anyway!

[IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

3.

Overview trailer that we're likely never getting an English version of.

4. Don't care. Got a trailer. Satisfied. JUST A FEW MORE WEEKS AAAAAA.

5. PREORDERED X. WOOHOOOOOOO!

6. Random new news time! Two new Pokemon and some new tidbits have been revealed by multiple sources, including IGN once again.

This time, it's the evolutions of Tyrunt and Amaura. Meet Tyrantrum and Aurorus.
[IMG] [IMG]
Aurorus can learn a new move called Freeze Dry, which can freeze opponents. It is super effective against Water-types.

In addition, it's been revealed that Pokemon introduced in XY will not have Mega Evolutions. And after 5 generations, when you successfully capture a Pokemon, the Pokemon used will gained EXP.
There is a wider variety of wild Pokemon in the grass. The idea is that they want you to find a different Pokemon every time you walk into the tall grass.
Masuda hinted to an easier way to obtaining Shiny Pokemon, while Yoshida said they wanted to make a Shiny Pokemon's color stand out more.

Also, it's been noted that the idea of XY came from the axes.

Also, remember Clemont?
This guy?

In previews of the upcoming XY anime, Clemont has been noted as the Gym Leader of Lumiose City. He is also shown with a Dedenne in his possesion.

7. "while Yoshida said they wanted to make a Shiny Pokemon's color stand out more."
Shiny Garchomp could use that...

8. Okay, so let's do a count of the number of Pokemon revealed so far:

Chespin, Quilladin (2)
Fennekin, Braixen (4)
Froakie, Frogadier (6)
Sylveon (7)
Skiddo, Gogoat (9)
Fletchling, Talonflame (11)
Helioptile (12)
Pancham, Pangoro (14)
Swirlix (15)
Spritzee (16)
Flabébé (17)
Litleo, Pyroar (19)
Clauncher (20)
Skrelp (21)
Noivern (22)
Scatterbug, Spewpa, Vivillon (25)
Honedge (26)
Oorotto (27)
Dedenne (28)
Bunnelby (29)
Meowstic (30)
Tyrunt, Tyrantrum (32)
Amaura, Aurorus (34)
Furfrou (35)
Inkay, Malamar (37)
Xerneas (38)
Yveltal (39)

39 Pokemon reveal so far.
And then there's the fact that we're getting another one this Wednesday. Pokemon's revealing a new, evolved-Pokemon on their Facebook on the 25th.

9. So I'm looking through SPPf's XY threads and find this:

Believe it or not, that is actually from one of the US commercials. Doesn't look like any Pokemon I know of. Hmm...

10. So the new Pokemon has been revealed. What is it, you may ask? Well...

Yeah, don't know how many people saw that coming....

11. The only thing I can really say about this is...

Okay.

12. ......Well, someone just got five bucks for that prediction. Looks alright though. It doesn't change my mind about having it in my team.

13. Following its reveal yesterday, the official website updated with information on Doublade, revealing a rather surprising fact:

Doublade is capable of learning Sacred Sword.

14. So it's been confirmed that review copies of the games are out there. Fortunately, they're not allowed to talk about certain things yet. Such as the starter final evolutions.

Although, it appears that someone uploaded pics of the Pokemon Center interior and Chespin evolving into Quilladin... Guess you can't stop everyone...

Be careful, folks.

Meanwhile, this from Famitsu's site:

15. The final episode of Pokemon Smash showcased Mega Evolution, giving slight further clarification.

It was previously revealed that you can only have one Mega Evolution in a single battle. However, this also applies to your opponent. So, it is possible for Mega Evolved Pokemon to face each other in battle.

16. [19:14] Keileon OH ALSO
[19:14] Keileon I forgot
[19:15] Keileon The creators confirmed XY refers to the axes, right?
[19:15] LordXGigaX Yeah
[19:15] Keileon And how the planes come together
[19:15] Keileon I'm ammending my earlier prediction on the third legendary
[19:16] Keileon I'm now calling an Oroboros-based legend representing the planar origin
[19:16] Keileon *Ouroboros
[19:17] Keileon Being that Ouroboros appears in Norse mythology, there's some possibility there

17. Are you like the rest of us, impatient during the last 11 days before the release of XY? Want more info to snack on while you (attempt) to wait? Well, I've got good news for you!

Apparently tomorrow, after the airing of Pokemon: The Origins (which, if you don't already know, /will/ be getting a dub ), there will be new XY information provided.

18. OKAY, so for those who don't already know, by store error, copies of Pokemon X and Y are in the wild in Canada. Details are currently being leaked. However, (presumably) due to what happened when Black and White leaked, neither Serebii nor WPM will be convering these details. PokeJungle has an article discussing this.

HOWEVER

I will not be posting any of it here. And I ask the rest of you to do the same.

Like Mewtwo, Charizard has an alternate Mega Evolution. Meet Mega Charizard X, exclusive to Pokemon X. It is Fire/Dragon (FINALLY), with increased Attack stats. It has a new ability called Tough Claws, which raises the power of moves that make direct contact. It requires the Charizardite X.

It's previously revealed Mega Evolution has been revealed to be Mega Charizard Y, being exclusive to Pokemon Y. It requires the Charizardite Y.

A video of the game's "world of Pokemon" intro was added to the Japanese Pokemon YouTube channel. For those who are interested in seeing the first minute of the game, here you go. :p

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nintendo contacted a person who was previously leaking info and images, telling them to stop. PokeJungle has removed all information from said leaker as a result.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Apparently, a new pamphlet has popped up, revealing two new Fairy types.

Look familiar, don't they? Well they should, because they are apparently Swirlix and Spritzee's evolutions: Peroriimu, the Whipped Cream Pokemon, and Furefuwan, the Fragrance Pokemon, respectively. Both of them are pure Fairy-types.

After thinking about it, I decided to put this in a spoiler tag.
