I would suggest putting up a thread or two in the Interest Checks section. Additionally, if you want more direct/hands-on help, you should come to our Discord channel via the link at the top of the page~
Welcome to ZEJ! As @Keileon noted, the "News and Announcements" section is generally used for staff members to post announcements regarding the forum's status. You're more than welcome to post some roleplays here. If you're looking to survey the crowd for interested parties, you might want to check out the Interest Checks section. If you're looking to get something up and running right away, then go take a gander at Freeform Roleplays.
Not a problem! We're happy to help point you in the right direction. First of all, we have a Comings and Goings forum, where you can introduce yourself in a more "formal" setting. If you nose through a couple threads there, you'll get the idea. That's usually our "square one" for newcomers, so that we can all get to know each other a little bit. We're pretty lax about our rules on where to reply. A mod or admin (the blue- and red-named users, respectively) will move things, as @Keileon did, if we feel it is in the wrong place. So don't worry too much about making a misstep! That said, we do have a thread for rules and guidelines to follow if you would like to brush up on them.
I forgot to tell you all, I do have Discord, so im not downloading it again, My Discord is MerLar#3083,Oh I already read your rules, I just want to get the sims/RPG rollin thats all...do you guys have a Sci-fi section?
No problem -- the Discord link should actually just provide you a link (an Instant Invite) to our ZEJ Roleplaying server, rather than prompt you to download anything. It's perfectly fine for you to go ahead and get things rolling! As I said, your best bet is to go ahead and post a thread in our Freeform Roleplays section. We don't have a dedicated sci-fi section here as we are still quite small, and a lot of our existing roleplays tend to run the gamut of sci-fi to fantasy anyway. Instead, we've chosen to separate our roleplay sections based on whether they are Freeform (standard, play-by-post roleplays), or Statistical (D&D or tactical roleplaying-game style, like Final Fantasy Tactics or Fire Emblem for example). It sounds like you'll be looking to make a roleplay that is more like the former type, so feel free to post a new roleplay thread in the Freeform Roleplay section.
